I made this course with a couple of big goals in mind. Firstly, to show anyone who is interested just how engaging and powerful ink-only sketching can be. Pen and ink sketching is by far the most approachable and immediate for of art I can think of, and learning a range of new techniques based on this might just help to super-power your creativity productivity.

Secondly, a course in ink sketching gives us loads of time together really breaking down the fundamental techniques that build towards my style. So a key goal here is to really build, together, our sketching skills and fundamentals towards a stronger and more confident independent sketching style.

Here are a couple of videos that outline how we’ll build our skills throughout this course. The secret to mastering this course is simple:

• Take it step-by-step: We’re breaking the material down into manageable, bite-sized pieces.

• Trust the process: It might feel like a lot at first, but by the end of the course, it will all come together and make perfect sense.

My Feedback Process

Next, I want to give you a quick heads-up on how and when you’ll receive feedback from me:

• Frequency: You can expect feedback weekly, though it may often happen more frequently.

• The Monday Routine: I usually do a major sweep on Mondays to catch up on all of your weekend activity.

• Flexibility: Occasionally, the schedule might shift and feedback will land on other days. I don't do this lightheartedly, it is either because I have another in person workshop (unusual on a Monday, but not impossible), or I am having time with my family for a planned holiday or unplanned emergency.

Communication is key: If my feedback seems delayed or you're worried I might have accidentally missed your post, please just let me know!
