In this section we will explore the sometimes elusive and challenging area of 'negative space'.

Negative space is the empty space around and between the subject(s) of an image. And leaving negative space is an invaluable technique to immediately simplify a scene, create visual interest and contrast, and enhance the effectiveness of the composition.

In this workshop we'll be exploring how to make decisions about where to leave negative space.
