Aside from the rather striking name, Lower Slaughter is a famous and picturesque village in the heart of the cotswolds.

From the old water wheel over the River Eye, to the streets filled with classic Cotswold's stone cottages, and a rather lovely church as well; simply put, there is beauty everywhere.

Down the road are the small towns of Stow on the Wold and Bourton on the Water, which have a number of tourist attractions, cafes, pubs and accommodation options.

And, for those more landscape-inclined - there are footpaths and fields cobwebbing out in all directions featuring rather lovely views of farmland and more.
